Jim was born and bred on the Southwest side of Chicago. He moved around a lot growing up; toured many Chicago-land suburbs. He has his Undergrad Degree from Judson University in Youth Ministry and Adolescent Studies/Psychology. His Masters of Divinity is from Northern Seminary in Pastoral Care and Counseling and Preaching. Jim has a love for Reformed theology and seeking after Christ with God's people. Jim was called here as the Pastor of Congregational Life in the Spring of 2014. Jim helps guide the vision and mission of First; creating spaces for all to Begin, Belong, and Become in the person of Jesus Christ. Jim's better half and love of his life is Kari; who is a NICU nurse at Christ Hospital, and they have three boys: Joey, Teddy, and Jack. In Jim's spare time he loves getting lost on new roads and adventures with family and friends, meeting new people, watching TV and movies, playing Sports, and, when he can, doing nothing (needless to say that doesn't happen much).
